The city of Speyer belongs to the so called “Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar” (metropolitan area) whose center is Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Mannheim and Heidelberg. Speyer is located in the Upper-Rhine lowlands, about 20 km south of Mannheim and Ludwigshafen am Rhein. The Rhine limits the eastern suburb and at the same time builds the borderline of the lands of Rheinland-Pfalz and Baden-Württemberg. So Speyer is situated in striking distance of several neighbours rich in history and culture, such as Heidelberg or Mannheim. But also other historic cities like Mainz, Worms or Karlsruhe aren’t far.

The Rheintor apartment is located directly in the heart of the Old Town of Speyer. All sights such as the cathedral, the Maximilianstraße, the Rhine shore and various museums can easily be reached by foot.
